Hi.

Welcome to The Glasgow Food Blog. I love Glasgow, and I love food. It's a match made in heaven.

Review: Pot Luck

Review: Pot Luck

Pot Luck recently opened on Nithsdale Road where No Way Back used to be. If you love all things brunchy, you will absolutely love Pot Luck. I ended up visiting them on their first day as I was pretty intrigued by their delicious pics on Instagram. Plus, they're dog friendly.

What's it like inside?

It's a quite small place – I'd guess there's seating for about 12 people. There's tables and stool seats, plus there's seating out the front if there weather is nice. The decor is beautiful – it has a Scandi vibe and feels bright and airy.

What's on the menu?

The menu keeps changing and I like that they're keeping things fresh. There's breakfast dishes like granola, a breakfast stack and scrambled eggs with salmon, as well as waffles and hot cakes/pancakes. In addition, there's sandwiches with soup/fries as well as rice bowls, chilli pork and baked eggs. They also have a selection of cakes.

For my first visit, I had the waffles. These really caught my attention on the menu and happily they looked beautiful too.

The taste of the food lives up to its appearance. This is a hefty plate of food for the price (£8) and I felt stuffed by the end. I love the fresh herbs and spinach which cut through the richness of the chorizo and halloumi.

I paid another visit recently because I'd seen pics of the pancakes and needed to try them for myself. We went for Tuesday brunch at 11am and the place was full. We waited about 15 minutes for a table but it was worth it.

WOAH. I mean, that is one seriously impressive plate of food. Fresh, delicious, vibrant and sweet – practically the perfect brunch dish. I loved everything about this especially the Iranian candy floss/fairy floss topping. Four thick, delicious hot cakes meant it's a very filling dish. I also ordered a side of bacon which was a nice contrast for a bit of saltiness!

Where can I find them?

Pot Luck are at 38 Nithsdale Road, Glasgow South Side G41 2AN, off Pollokshaws Road. They're open Tuesday-Sunday but check their social media for specific times as no doubt these things change.
