Hi.

Welcome to The Glasgow Food Blog. I love Glasgow, and I love food. It's a match made in heaven.

Papercup Coffee Company
274 High Street, Glasgow G4 0UT

Not going to lie, I was ridiculously excited for Papercup opening a 2nd location in Glasgow. I did visit when they very first opened but didn't have any money and they didn't have card facilities (I actually don't know if they take card now as I made sure I had cashola this time!).

I needed some working time away from the laptop (old fashioned with a notepad and pen!) and headed here. There's about 16 seats and lots of natural light from the big windows so I sat in the nook there. There's also some benches out the front. I ordered the pancakes/hot cakes as well as an Americano (jetlag). I didn't have to wait long and seeing as though I don't drink coffee very often, I really enjoyed this one and it gave me the pep I needed.

The pancakes though. OMG. Holy pancake heaven. Now I am just back from holidays where I ate some seriously amazing pancakes and I really didn't think I'd be able to find ones to compare in Glasgow. I was wrong. These were just perfect - lots of lush fruit and cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious and just what I needed to fuel me through the day. I believe they're £5.50 which is really cheap for what you get (essentially, one massive pancake and fruit).

They're also doing ANZAC biscuits here which I was stoked to see so got a couple to take home. I really like the new Papercup, it's an awesome place and for the meantime, not that many people know about it so you can easily get a seat. Win!

Notes:
- Not sure if they have wifi, I didn't ask
- Customer loo is to the rear of the cafe
- Opening hours are now 8am - 4pm 7 days a week which is handy for the hospital/uni
