Hi.

Welcome to The Glasgow Food Blog. I love Glasgow, and I love food. It's a match made in heaven.

I'll keep it simple. Catch is a really good chippy but the prices mean I really can't give it 5 stars. I mean, our dinner for two came to nearly £50. Ouch. We shared mac cheese balls and chicken pakora, both which were excellent. For main I went for the half lobster and it was really nice - delicious meat, a nice amount of garlic butter and the claw came cracked so I didn't have to worry about that. We got a side of potato fritters (which weirdly aren't on the menu, but they do have them) but they were under-seasoned and bland, until I loaded them up with salt and vinegar (the chips didn't have this problem).

I'd definitely go back to Catch and would get a takeaway here, but I do think the prices are pretty steep for what is a casual fish shop dining experience. The prices are considerable cheaper if you're taking away (cod is £10.95 for eat in or £5.40 take away!) so we will do that next time.

They also let us take our leftovers away with us so that was good. The staff are really friendly and nice.
